Wild On The Fly on TV this January!

Wild On The Fly on TV this January!

Wild On The Fly is very pleased to announce this special collaboration to produce a 13-episode high-definition television series on sensational angling adventures all around the world. The idea behind the project is to “re-invent” the conventional fishing show, evolving it from its clichéd, worn-out (and frankly boring) Saturday morning format into a vibrant travel show so interesting and visually appealing even non-anglers will want to watch. Every production is un-staged and genuine, a little bit edgy, and rich in culture, lore, food, scenery, wildlife, conservation and of course, cutting-edge fishing.

In our search for truly premier fly fishing experiences Wild On The Fly has traveled the world from Africa to Argentina, Mexico to Mongolia. The series, which will feature five domestic and eight international destinations, will begin broadcasting on the Outdoor Channel on New Year’s Day. Each of the 13 episodes will air three times during its initial week of broadcast, and then again an additional three times when the series is repeated in the second quarter of the year. Our anchor broadcast time is 1:30pm ET on Saturday, with repeated showings Thursday morning and Friday evening.

The Outdoor Channel is emerging as the number one outdoor broadcaster in the nation, both in size and quality of content. It streams 100% HD to a little over 35-million households and is available through all major cable and satellite providers. It is also the only Nielsen-rated outdoor-exclusive cable channel. They have been very aggressive lately, and in a surprise move this past summer they acquired all of ESPN’s prime outdoor programming, further establishing their dominance. The Outdoor Channel has also become a leader in integrating television and Internet in the outdoor market and its web site currently receives over a million unique visits a month.

We actually hope you’re out fishing each Saturday, so if you can’t see one of our shows each week be sure and program your cable box or Teevo to record every exciting episode. Here’s our broadcast schedule; you won’t want to miss any of them!
