SPORTSMEN ALLIANCE FOR MARCELLUS CONSERVATION

TGF ANNOUNCEMENT

SPORTSMEN ALLIANCE FOR

MARCELLUS CONSERVATION

TGF is pleased to
announce to its members the creation of The Sportsmen Alliance for
Marcellus Conservation
(Sportsmen Alliance), which is a coalition of
sportsmen and women working together to identify and propose solutions to
mitigate the impacts caused by gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale on hunting,
fishing, trapping and other outdoor sporting activities. TGF and Trout
Unlimited joined forces in the summer of 2010 as the founding members of this
coalition and have since worked to facilitate its formation and continuing
growth.
The Sportsmen Alliance has focused its efforts upon the
current state and local policies governing gas drilling and hydraulic
fracturing in the Marcellus Shale that do not adequately protect valuable and
irreplaceable natural resources, including clean water and critical habitat for
fish and wildlife. The Sportsmen Alliance expects to have a strong voice in protecting our valued
fish and wildlife habitat as Marcellus Shale gas is developed.  Please
read below about the upcoming Summit on June 4, 2011, and view our
